Physical Therapy

Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Assessment and Treatment: Evaluation of the patients' condition and the development of an evidence-based treatment plan specific to your needs and injury or condition. Important consideration is given to a return to an active lifestyle after injuries such as strains/sprains, post-trauma, and post-surgical conditions. Therapy is offered on a one-to-one basis by an experienced and skilled professional.

ASTYM™ (Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization): Workable Solutions is one of the only local centers to offer the ASTYM™ system; which is a therapy approach providing relief for a number of disorders which can be new injuries or chronic nagging injuries. One of the most exciting aspects of the treatment is that significant improvement often occurs even in cases where other treatments have failed.

The ASTYM™ system helps repair soft tissues of the body (muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc.) and corrects abnormal soft tissue which may interfere with movement and cause pain. Many people develop abnormal soft tissue from injuries, surgery, and repeated or “overuse” activities, which often occur in factory work, clerical jobs and sports.

Conditions helped by the ASTYM™ approach include: Post surgical scarring, planter fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, IT band syndrome, low back pain, as well as many of the more common overuse injuries and tendonitis-type injuries.

Sports Therapy: Having had experience and been involved in a University athletic program, our physical therapist managing this program understands sports. As a semi-pro baseball player and life long hockey competitor our PT knows that prompt attention to an injury and a modified treatment plan can make a big difference in a quick return to sports activities. Whether you are a high level athlete or a weekend warrior…we can help.

Conditions helped with our exciting brand of Sports Therapy include sprains/strains, overuse injuries and syndromes, tendonitis/tendonosis, fractures and other common sports injuries. Our staff has extensive experience in post–surgical rehabilitation, particularly those involving the knee ( ACL repair) and shoulder (rotator cuff repair).

Occupational Therapy

Upper Extremity and Hand Treatment .

Workable Solutions provides treatment to the upper extremity and hand of patients who experience cumulative trauma or repetitive use syndromes. Occupational Therapy consists of the use of modalities, functional training, work simulation, exercise, stretching, and strengthening.

ASTYM™ (Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization)

In order to treat the upper extremity and hand, our occupational therapists are also certified in the ASTYM™ approach. The ASTYM™ system provides patients relief from disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, DeQuervain's tenosynovitis, trigger finger, and medial/lateral epicondylitis. These can either be new injuries or persistent nagging injuries. One of the most exciting aspects of the treatment is that significant improvement often occurs even in cases where other treatments have failed.

The ASTYM™ system helps repair the normal soft tissues of the body (muscles, tendons, ligaments, etc.) and correcting abnormal soft tissue (scar tissue and other inappropriate fibrosis) which may interfere with movement and cause pain. Many people develop abnormal soft tissue from injuries, surgery, and repeated or “overuse” activities (which often occur in factory work, clerical jobs and sports).

Expert Witness : Our Occupational Therapist owner has been involved in numerous legal cases and testifies as an Expert Witness. Her area of expertise is in the field of Work Injury Rehabilitation.
